How to use Apple’s Health App

Health app is a bold way to look at your health. The app makes it easy to learn about your health. And help to reach your health goals. You can observe all your progress in one convenient place, meaning it consolidates health data from Apple Watch, iPhone and also from third-party apps like Run Tracker, Wireless body scales and more, that you already use. The app highlights four categories, Activity, Sleep, Mindfulness and Nutrition. How to add your personal information?

  1. Open the ‘Health’ app in your iOS device.
  2. Tap on ‘Health data’ tab.
  3. Tap on ‘Profile’ icon.
  4. Enter your information. (Date of birth, Sex, Blood Type, etc.)

How to add data from an app to health app

Follow the steps to add apps and pick which categories they track.

  1. Open the ‘Health’ app in your iOS device.
  2. Tap on the ‘Sources’ tab.
  3. Scroll to apps.
  4. Select an app.
  5. Turn on the categories that you aspire to track.

If there is no app to select, you can also find compatible apps right in the Health app,

  9. Tap on that app.
  10. Turn on the categories that you aspire to track.

How to View Health data in the Health app

  1. Open the ‘Health’ app in your iOS device.
  2. Tap on ‘Today’ tab at the bottom.
  3. Scroll up or down or select date to view your health data of that day.
  4. To check more details about your activity, Tap on an activity name (Steps, Walking + Running distance) you want to view. There you can switch between tabs to see data of a day, Week, month, or year.

How to step up your Medical ID

In any medical emergency, your medical ID will help in to determine your identity and access your medical history. Anyone can open it from even in lock screen by hitting Emergency, and then Medical ID.

  1. Open the ‘Health’ app.
  2. Tap on ‘Medical ID’ tab from the bottom right corner.
  3. Tap on ‘Edit’ at the top of the right side.
  4. Make sure to turn on the switch of ‘Show When Locked.’
